1. High School Diploma or a GED equivalent AND one (1) year or more of fitness instruction or personal training experience
OR
Associates Degree or higher in fitness instruction, personal training, or a related field;
2. Currently have CPR and American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid certifications or have the ability to obtain certifications prior to employment;
3. Ability to work weekdays, evenings and weekends;
4. Ability to lift, carry and set up recreational equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Tests individuals for proper fitness programs, implements the programs, and monitors the performance of the program; reviews members' health histories, and issues physician's referral for high risk members; instructs members in proper use of the fitness equipment; schedules and conducts appointments for personal training; assists with group fitness class instruction; inspects and maintains all fitness equipment for the fitness center; supports daily operations of the Recreation Center.
